  • Kyle Sandilands accused of vile behaviour amid domestic violence crisis

TV and radio personality Steve Price has continued his feud with radio host Kyle Sandilands, blasting him in an opinion piece for the Herald Sun.

Price argues "crude and threatening language towards women" on-air has no place in Australia at a time the country's domestic violence crisis has reached tipping point.

He said Sandiland's abuse of women in the past has been "vile" and "threatening".

He also questioned how Prime Minister Anthony Albanese could appear on Sandiland's show, as he has done frequently in the past, after Labor's commitment to helping vulnerable women.

Sandilands branded Price "a failure" after he criticised KIIS FM's first show on Melbourne's airwaves, branding it "toxic" and "sexualised rubbish".

  • Australia's pro-Palestine protests make headlines in the US

Australia's pro-Palestinian protests are making headlines over in the US as American police ramp up their response to university sit-ins that have gripped the nation.

CNN published a lengthy piece on how the protests have "gone global" and detailed the varying university protests in Australia, noting that so far university bosses and authorities here have yet to take a forceful approach with campers.

  • Australia warns China over unsafe move at sea

Australia's head of navy has urged his Chinese counterpart to "prioritise safety" after last year's sonar attack on an Australian vessel.

The encounter in November sparked a heated disagreement between the two countries, who had two very different accounts of what actually happened.

Vice Admiral Mark Hammond raised concerns with Chinese Chief Admiral Hu Zhongming last week over his country's behaviour during an international navy conference, the ABC reported.

It comes as an encounter between Chinese coastguard vessels and a Philippines ship went viral this week after the Filipino vessel entered a highly-disputed area of the South China Sea and was hosed down by water cannons.

China claims sovereignty over most of the South China Sea, despite territorial claims from neighbouring nations.
